Double Vanity

Double Vanity was a small sculptural piece, added to Between You and Me in its second showing, which explored the intimacy of self-appraisal and adornment in the presence of another viewer/actor. The semi-privacy of the structure encourages intimacy inside but voyeurism from without. Amoung the items with which viewers could interact were flowers, masks, a camera and a notebook with a pencil in which the viewer could make a record of their moment in the tent.
